Grant Recipients 2009: The Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation

Grant Recipients 2009: The Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation, Bonniers Konsthall.

The season ends in the traditional manner, with our regular exhibition of works by recipients of grants from the Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation. Those represented are currently some of Sweden’s most interesting young artists. The 2009 Grant Recipients are Sofia Bäcklund, Kristina Matousch and Viktor Rosdahl.

At the beginning of September, work started on selecting recipients for this year’s grants from the Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation from among several hundred applicant artists under 35. On November 22, the exhibition of works by the recipients will open, and continue until January 10. The recipients of grants for 2009 has been chosen by The Board of the Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation and an invited jury comprising: Olle Granath, permanent secretary of The Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts and Cecilia Widenheim, Director of IASPIS.

The Maria Bonnier Dahlin Foundation awards an annual grant for the support of young Swedish visual artists and artistic work. The Foundation was founded in 1985 by Jeanette Bonnier in memory of her daughter Maria. Bonniers Konsthall's inaugural exhibition in the autumn 2006 presented all previous grant recipients. Since its inception, 63 artists have been awarded grants by the Foundation. Previous grant recipients include Cecilia Edefalk, Karin Mamma Andersson, Jacob Dahlgren and Gunnel Wåhlstrand.
