Bonniers Konsthall

Andreas Eriksson (b. 1975) is based in Medelplana in Västergötland. He has exhibited extensively internationally, including solo shows at Sommer & Kohl, Berlin, 2009 and MUMOK, Vienna, 2008.

In his work, Andreas Eriksson’s starting point is the nature surrounding his studio at Kinnekulle. In techniques such as sculpture, photography and painting he depicts the variations of the seasons and the light. The artist often works in series but this particular painting, depicting a tree, was made to be exhibited solo. Andreas Eriksson describes it as fateful and symbolic.
