Tomas Saraceno (b. 1973) was born in Tucuman, Argentina and is based in Frankfurt. Saraceno has exhibited widely internationally, including: the Barbican Art Gallery, London; Art Basel 38; and the 53rd Venice Biennale 2009.

In his works, the artist and architect Tomas Saraceno develops utopian proposals for a future human existence in balance with the world in which we live. The globe Iridescent Planet shows the earth in multifarious colours. The work, which is made of latex and a pump arrangement, is sensitive to the atmosphere of the space and grows and shrinks in accordance with the air pressure.
